Pineberries are an old variety of strawberry that has recently been revived. The berry is white on the outside and has red seeds, with a tart taste. The berries are relatively smaller than red strawberries, usually measuring around an inch in size or smaller.

Berries should be kept cold once they are purchased. They tend to last 5-7 days in the refrigerator and are able to be frozen. They should be kept away from humidity and shouldn't be washed until just before use.
